Bonny and Clyde meets Bruce Springsteen meets Storm King. Before I wrote any of this song, I had an idea for a movie scene where a couple calls a 1-800 number just to dance to their hold music. When I realized I was never going to write this movie, I used it as the opening to “Storm Queen” instead. Ultimately, is there a better relationship test than a bank robbery? And since I ended up calling on a number of East Coast landmarks, I thought it was appropriate to give this song a Bruce-esque explosion towards the end.
